2007 Fall Regional MeetingsLocal officials and superintendents celebrate the start of another school year at the WASB fall regional meetings—an evening of catching up with colleagues in your region, sharing best practices and conducting regional business. A key opportunity for your board to participate in setting a collective agenda for public education that supports local governance, hear ideas from other districts, and share a meal with colleagues. Collaboration among school board members across the state is an important duty for local officials, who are charged with governing a statewide function through local action. The WASB fall regional meetings are your opportunity to talk with school board members in your area and share information with your association about local governance concerns and matters of statewide interest.
