The WASB Legislative Services staff advocates for the WASB Legislative Agenda and the policies adopted at the annual Delegate Assemblies, and provides regular updates to members so they can effectively communicate with their state and federally elected officials.

During the 2005-06 legislative session, the WASB successfully fought to increase state aids to school districts, align the state's special education laws with the federal laws to improve student achievement, and prevent a reduction in school district revenue limits.
