These are today's ingredients for a successful public school district. At the 89th State Education Convention, each of our sessions, speakers and events is focused on one or more of these pieces of the pie.
Let the Learning Begin. Before the Convention officially begins, four pre-convention workshops will take place on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010. These extended sessions offer in-depth learning opportunities on technology, school finance, bargaining, and governance for student success. More than 80 sessions on topics ranging from school finance to how to successfully pass a referendum will take place during the three days of Convention starting on Jan. 20, 2010.
A Better Experience: New this year, electric scooters will be available for rental on Wednesday and Thursday beginning at 7 am. Scooter rental is just $35 per day and you only need your driver's licens and payment. Look for On the Go Mobility located in the Midwest Airlines Center. We will have water coolers in hallways for your refreshment. and shuttles to and from the Midwest Airlines Center and convention hotels will also be provided again this year.
