From Wheelchair to
the
Lambeau Leap
LeRoy Butler
The story of an athlete's rise to professional stardom and championship heroics is usually interesting enough on its own merits. Throw in childhood poverty in a single-parent household, and it becomes inspirational. For good measure, add to the story congenital foot deformities resulting in an early childhood spent on the sidelines in a wheelchair, and you have the makings of a real-life fairy tale. All-Pro defensive back LeRoy Butler, formerly of the Green Bay Packers, has led such a fairy tale of a life. Butler will discuss the challenges and adversity he had to overcome in becoming a NFL star and the lessons he learned along the way.
Meet and Greet with LeRoy Butler: 9- 9:45 am, Ballroom AB, Midwest Airlines Center
