Research on Education, Deliberation, and Decision-Making (REDD)
Deb Gurke, former WASB Director of Board Governance, worked with Rob Asen, professor at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and three graduate students to better understand how school board members use research when making decisions for their districts. REDD is a two-year study drawing on the resources of the Wisconsin Association of School Boards and the Department of Communication Arts of the University of Wisconsin - Madison

WASB Lighthouse Research Project
The Multi-State Lighthouse Research Project is coordinated through the Iowa School Boards Foundation. The purpose of the study is to help school boards develop the beliefs and create conditions to provide leadership for student achievement.
