2021 Centennial Special Exhibit
“Classroom of the Future” Call for Proposals
Deadline extended: Applications due Sept. 15. Accepted participants will be notified by October 1.
Be a part of the 100th Wisconsin State Education Convention celebration in January 2021!
We want to honor our past while focusing on our future. A highlight of the convention will be a Special Exhibit in the Exhibit Hall showcasing the “Classroom of the Future.”
This is your opportunity to highlight your creativity and your vision for the future of K-12 education. Do you have furniture, technology and/or other student engagement practices that you want school board members and administrators to have in the forefront of their planning? Now is the time to showcase them!
What is the Classroom of the Future Special Exhibit?
The Classroom of the Future is a special 50′ x 60′ booth in the Exhibit Hall (Booth 348 on the floor plan) that will be used to provide Wisconsin school board members and administrators with a vision of what K-12 education could or should look like.
Ideally, the space will be used as one, large cohesive exhibit. But if that is not feasible, it can be broken into multiple segments to allow exhibitors to separately showcase their visions for the future of K-12 education (see options below). Interested exhibitors are welcome to apply on their own, coordinate with partner organizations and apply jointly, and/or apply for multiple options in case interest is high and the space is broken into separate units. How the booth is set up will be determined by how many exhibitors apply and which are accepted.
Important: Participation in the Classroom of the Future is intended to showcase the future of K-12 education, not used as an additional, standard exhibit booth. Signage acknowledging the participating companies will be allowed but limited.
Who can participate?
Interested participants must be a confirmed exhibitor with at least a standard booth elsewhere in the Exhibit Hall. All exhibitors have the option of applying to participate in the Classroom of the Future. There are no additional fees but accepted applicants are responsible for all related expenses, including electrical and internet needs. If accepted, participating exhibitors will be acknowledged as convention sponsors at the levels indicated below.
Special Exhibit Floor Sponsorships
In recognition of commitment, the WASB will provide:
- Logo included as a sponsor at the designated level in convention signage, website, app and publications (in the general list of sponsors as well as in reference to the Special Exhibit).
- Logo included as sponsor in dedicated emails to attendees featuring the Special Exhibit.
- An “Entrance Ticket” to the Special Exhibit will be provided with all attendee registrations. The tickets will be collected in the Special Exhibit and used for a drawing to win a complimentary registration to the 2022 State Education Convention
Apply to participate on your own or coordinate with partner organizations. There are no additional fees to participate. Participants are responsible for electrical and internet hook-ups as well as other related expenses.
Application: Please select an Option (shown to the right), and in 500 words or less explain how your organization would use the selected space.
Use the online form to submit your proposal.
