This issue features stories from around Wisconsin of how districts are implementing environmental and health initiatives, both inside and outside the classroom. Students at Netherwood Knoll Elementary in the Oregon School District are gardening, raising Monarch caterpillars and creating a compost team. Waukesha High School students are measuring their district’s trees to help collect data for the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources’ Wisconsin Community Tree Map.
